"Oz... Oz!"
At first Willow didn't even realize she had said the name aloud. It didn't sound like her voice. It felt like she hadn't spoken in a thousand years.
"I'm here."
Just Oz's voice made her feel better. Not completely good, but better. Her head hurt, and she felt dizzy, with just a little bit of nausea mixed in there. Her head felt as if it would explode at the slightest movement. Not a theory she was willing to test just yet.
"She's starting to wake up." Was that Xander? Was he there, too? She didn't know.
"Hey, baby." She felt Oz take her hand. She had always loved his hands. Especially when they held hers.
"Hi," she murmured. Willow wanted to open her eyes, to see her boyfriend, but it hurt to even think about it. All in due time.
"I'm going to go get a doctor." Yeah, that had to be Xander.
"How do you feel?" Oz asked her.
She had to know, and she knew Oz would tell her the truth and not laugh at her. "My head..." She began. "Is it big? It feels big."
Willow could visualize him smiling. "No, it's head-sized."
As if to prove his point, he leaned forward and kissed her face, between the eyes. His lips were soft against her skin. He ran his other hand over her head, and suddenly she remembered that she was not the only one that might be laying in a bed here with a big head. She knew that Xander must be all right, if that was in fact his voice that she heard. But what about Cordelia? And Giles, and Kendra...
She forced herself to open her eyes, but not too wide. The light hurt. But she could see Oz sitting right there with her, so it was all worth it. "Is everybody else okay?" she asked.
Oz didn't say anything at first, and Willow knew that something had to have happened. But she knew he would tell her.
He never let go of her hand.
