"X Marks the Spot"
A primetime series created by Lori (MzLori) & Jenny (JenBWK)
Airings: Sundays at 9pm
Plot: A Gilligan's Island type of story in which the characters hunt for buried treasure. Special guest stars Mulder, Scully, and favorite BTVS characters appear.
What it really is: The creators of this story, Jenny (JenBWK42) and Lori (MzLori) are going to share with you their reasons for starting this story. But first, take note that "The Raid" story they are referring to is a popular "thread story" that existed on the message boards. It was round robin-like; one person started the story, and then another person continued, and so on. A lot of posters got involved, telling the story from their point-of-view. "The Raid" used to be on fellow Hanni Raven's site, but she took it down. Also worth noting is that "X Marks the Spot" was originally just a loooonngg thread of posts. Jenny majorly edited the original thread by putting the posts in order and cutting down on irrelevancy. ::major applause::
Jenny's Top Five Reasons:
1. I became strangely obsessed with the Raids on the WB Hanniganite message board and desperately wanted to do another story thread, no matter how silly. Go figure.
2. Lori had a great idea for the "X Marks the Spot" story arc and the rest is Hanniganite Havoc-wreaking history.
3. It was the only way I could get Spike. ;) Though that didn't exactly work out as I had planned... Oh, Lauren!...
4. It was an opportunity to create a Spike clone. It's always good to have a back-up plan. [G]
5. I don't have a fifth reason. Top Five just sounds better than Top Four.
Lori's Top Five Reasons:
"Well X Marks the spot became a reality after a discussion one day with Jen, she had really enjoyed the Raids as did I and was thinking about doing something along the same lines. I don't know where the idea of the treasure hunt came from it was just in my head one day. It was a lot of fun to do and I for one look forward to a possible sequel this summer. Oh yeah, and having control of the SBO was a hoot too! What is the SBO you ask? Well read the story and find out! [g]"
